Buoni propositi per il nuovo anno

In questi giorni radio, tivvù, giornali stanno tutti a scorrere il film del duemilaundici. Lo faccio pure io, con l'immaginona che vedi lassù. Sono le immagini che in questo blog hanno raccontato qualche storia, promosso qualche uscita in edicola, pubblicizzato sperimentali autoproduzioni, fissato momenti degni di nota. Insomma: in quella gif 400x300 pixel (ma che se la apri ti si presenterà in tutto il suo milleduecentopermilleseicentesco splendore) ci sta tutto un intero anno di AAARGH!. Fare sto giochino e scegliere le immagini da inserire m'ha costretto a ripercorrere i dodici mesi appena trascorsi, non senza sorrisi e sospiri. É stato un anno davvero intenso: tante le cose fatte, i progetti realizzati, le idee viste nascere e crescere. Alcune "programmate", altre completamente inattese. Altre ancora, invece, non hanno visto la luce. Ad alcune di queste sto ancora lavorando perchè possano vederla nel duemiladddodici. Tanti, infatti, sono i buoni propositi per l'anno bisesto che è alle porte: un nuovo spazio per raccontare altre storie, una mostra, un libro, trecentosessantasei (366) disegni di Cacao, un corto animato, un viaggio. E quest'anno ho un giorno in più per fare tutto. Salvo che i Maya non c'abbiano preso.

Radio, tv and magazine as usally are looking at the 2011 stories, through images and videos. So I decided to do the same, with the image up there. They are the images that in 2011 told stories, advise you of some new stuff, focus some important moments. In those 400x300 pixel image (but if you open it you could see it bigger) there is everything about 2011 on this blog. Choosing images forced me to run through all last months with smiles and some sigh. It was a really intense year: a lot of realized projects and ideas. Some was "planned" but other was really unexpected. And other I'm still workin' on to realize them on 2012. I've got some New Year's resolutions: a new place wher to tell new stories, an exhibition, two books, three hundred and sixtysix sketch of my new "countdown project", an animated short, a journey. And to learn english better.

Inizia il conto alla rovescia.

Inizia oggi un esperimento: è nato 366, un diario virtuale che scandirà il conto alla rovescia fino alla fine del mondo (Maya docet). Protagonista dell'impresa sarà il mio Cacao, che da oggi e per 366 giorni accompagnerà grandi e piccini verso il celeberrimo ventun dicembre duemiladodici. Avanti gente, spingete pure: fatevi prendere dal panico.

Today I'm going to start a new blog: 366. It will be my personal countdown until the end of the world, as Maya said. Cacao, that's a characters of mine, will start today and for 366 days will drive you all to December the 21st 2012. So c'mon: enjoy the panic.

Natale con Lipo

É in edicola da qualche giorno il nuovissimo numero di Focus Wild, con all'interno le nuove avventure di Lipo, stavolta alle prese con l'arrivo del Natale.

Giorni frenetici questi. Sarà il natale, sarà che inizia il conto alla rovescia verso la fine del mondo, sarà che l'occhio sta meglio e quindi mi sono rituffato nel lavoro per recuperare il tempo perduto. Sarà. Quello che vedi lì sopra è uno dei nuovi disegni a cui sto lavorando. Qualche giorno fa avevo pubblicato le matite, che ora inizano a prendere forma e colore. Presto nuove info su questo progetto, magari con qualche foto di come verranno utilizzati.

Busy days! Maybe it's because of xmas, maybe it's beacuse the countdown to the end of the world is started, maybe it's because my eyesight is going better and now I've got to hurry to make up for lost time. You can see one of the pieces I'm working on. A couple of days ago I've posted the pencil rough: now they are coming to life. Soon more info about this project, maybe with some pics about how they will use.

YEP!Party is back!

Domani sera secondo appuntamento con lo YEP!Party, la leggendaria fashion party night di Heroes_Art. Dalle 23:00 sarò al T-Gallery di Vicenza (ex Totem) per presentare i nuovissimi modelli di minimal t-shirts freschi di stampa! Durante la serata, animata da quattro (no, dico quattro) diggei e dallo staff Dream Night Group, custom live dele spillone Heroes_Art (si riesce a vedere lì sopra che ne sto facendo una?) e live painting di un "muro" di sciarpe (letteralmente) che verranno regalate al pubblico, insieme alle t-shirts della collezione Heroes. Save the date: tomorrow night it's the YEP!Party night! The great and delirious fashion happening by Heroes_Art. From 11PM I'll be at T-Gallery in Vicenza (ex Totem) to exhibit the latest models of minimal t-shirts made in collaboration with the Heroes Art guys! During the night four dj's and alle the Dream Night Group will animate the dancefloorand I'll paint live the big Heroes_Art pins (see the pics up there) and a "scarfs wall" that we will give as gifts to the audience (and also a lot of Heroes_Art original t-shirts!). Capitan Aaarghlock!

Questo che scorgi qui sopra è il particolare di una serie di nuovi disegni che sto realizzando per un progetto nel quale sono coinvolto e che vedrà la luce prestissimo e al quale sono davvero entusiasta di poter lavorare. L'occhio tronco non mi fermerà! Bollettino medico: sto meglio, l'occhio ci vede bene, anche se si affatica con molta facilità. Ne approfitto anche per ringraziare tutti quelli che in questi giorni mi hanno scritto per augurarmi una pronta guarigione. Grazie davvero!


This is a little particular about a some new designs I'm working on. I'm envolved on a new project and I'm really excited. I'm running 'cause it must have to be ready soon. My aching eye will not stop me! Medical bulletin: my eyesight is good, but it strain very easy. I want to give thanks to all who write me to wish the best for me and my eyesight: really thank you all!

Lacrime e sangue, ma per davvero.

Due giorni fa era domenica pomeriggio. Si, due giorni fa. Una domenica pomeriggio che mi ricorderò per un bel po' di tempo. E se la ricorderà pure il mio occhio destro, che oggi inizia a uscire dalla nebbia che lo ha avvolto e a distinguere per benino anche le lettere di questo post che sto scrivendo. Risparmio la cronaca dei fatti. Dico solo che domenica pomeriggio una lastra di ferro ha pensato bene di ispezionarmi l'occhio. Risultato: un taglio appena sotto la cornea che ha liberato un torrente di sangue che manco la madonna di medjugorie. Oggi ci scherzo. Domenica già meno. Dopo due visite che hanno escluso danni permanenti alla vista, ne attendo una terza che mi tranquillizzerà definitivamente, spero.
Oltre alla cronaca ti risparmio anche le foto del mio occhio che non sono simpatiche da vedere, soprattutto se questo post lo stai leggendo alla mattina mentre ti godi il caffè. Ti rifilo invece l'immagine del trittico finito appena prima di vergarmi l'occhio: si intitola "Pajama Party" (acrilici su cartone, 23x50cm cadauno) e farà parte di una collettiva MondoPop di cui ti parlerò presto. Ci si vede presto qui sul blog. Magari con entrambi gli occhi.

It was sunday two days ago. A day I will remember for a long long time. And alse my right eye will remember it. My right eye that starts today to see better and exit from the fog and recognize the letters I'm writing right now. I don't want to tell you all the story, I just tell that a large iron piece shot my eye a couple of millimeters under my cornea. Was a really scaring and bloody afternoon! But at the hospital they told me that there isn't any damage to my eyesight. After two medical exhamination I'll have a third one in a week to exclude any future problems.
I decide to "save you" from the bloody pictures of my eyes, so I put up there the picture of the triptych I finished just before the eye incident: it's called "Pajama Party" (acrylics on paperboard - 23x50 cm each) and it will be on a MondoPop collective exhibition which I will talk you in the next weeks.
